The English Language Dying because of Texting?

i <3 txting uve gota problm wit tat pnk? :D

In today's fast paced and modern world where technology has become a main asset to our
society,we've got many devices that simplify our use of instant messaging via cellphones and the internet. The youth of this generation who have this availability of instant messaging have slowly developed a style of using abbreviated text to communicate among them. This new style has grown into a new language commonly called as texting or Msging etc.

This new form of using abbreviated text has become so prominent over the days that Educators worry about the richness of grammar and stuff that the English language has always been renowned for.
Some even feel that this style might replace the Standard English language in the years to come.Others say that it is allowing teenagers to contribute a new and easier style of quick communication to the English language.

Texting critics note that texting narrows down the persons ability to express his words.Texting is a whole new form that is far away from the richness of the English language taught at schools. Some even suspect that this is diminishing the persons ability to express himself through writing.

But some researchers came to the conclusion that texting allows the individual to avoid the use of grammar, capitalization etc and still make the text readable as the human mind subject to recognize a word without having to read it letter by letter and hence decreasing the level of difficulty in the English language.

Texting doesn't really change or revolutionize the English language because that is not its purpose. Its main purpose is to have a quick easy way of communicating without the use of vowels, appropriate grammar etc.

It is neither contributing or destroying the evolution of the English language. It may be trading horns with the traditional and neat structure of The rich English language but I doubt it will replace the English language that we've been using for centuries.

One can use texting on the internet or while messaging to one's friends because it is quick and when the content is not usually important. The traditional English language must be used in formal ways such as conferences, business emails or messages etc and even in schools. This relationship between texting and the Traditional English fusing together to be used in different situations, preserves the richness of the Language English.

I love to text and I proud of that and I hope the article above changed the minds of 'those 'who think texting is affecting the English literature.

The comic strip below is for 'those 'who hate texting :D enjoy. The comic strip was made by yours truly Nikhil.S.P.
